MADE FOR YOU. AND YOUR AGENT.
Your agent.
Now with a face.
Choose where your avatar belongs. Inside your chat, in a conversation of its own, or as a small companion beside your work.
Your models stay where they are. Nothing to upload.
CONNECT YOUR EXISTING AGENT
A few steps. All guided.
- 1
Check your agent app
Open its settings and look for Tools, Integrations or MCP servers. You need an option to add a local tool. The installed desktop connection opens its own window; inline faces also need support for interactive apps.
What does that mean?
MCP lets an agent use extra tools. MCP Apps lets it show an interactive face. Some apps support tools but only display text. A web chat link or a cloud connector URL will not connect this local version.
Compatibility has not yet been verified in external agent apps. The steps below prepare the connection; seeing the avatar in your app confirms it works there.

Add Agent Avatar
We’ve prepared the settings for this computer. If your app can import an MCP configuration, use this file. Otherwise, copy the configuration into its MCP settings, or use the individual fields below.
These settings contain this computer’s folder paths. Keep the file local. Keep this folder in place after connecting.
My app asks for separate fields
Use an argument field or list, not a combined shell command. Spaces in your folder name are handled by the connection file.

Say hello in your agent app
Save the connection and enable the Agent Avatar tool. Reopen the conversation if your app asks you to. Then send this message:
A working connection displays the avatar with your agent’s reply. Open Avatar settings in that view to change its appearance and settings.
I only see text, or nothing happens
Check that the tool is enabled. An installed desktop connection opens its own companion window. A development connection needs the local playground running and MCP Apps support for an inline face. Confirm the configured application or folder still exists. If your app cannot display the face, use the reply player to bring text from any agent app to life.
Open the reply player
Your agent app supplies the replies. The avatar displays only replies sent to its tool; it does not read your whole chat. An installed connection owns a separate companion session and can speak when you enable voice. Preferences are shared within that session; Remember optionally saves them for future sessions. The embedded card does not capture microphone audio or play local speech. Your agent app’s own privacy settings still apply to its conversations.
USE WHAT’S ALREADY ON YOUR COMPUTER
A space just for your conversation.
Use the Playground as your dedicated avatar chat. Choose a face and an installed local model, then type or speak.
- Open the app where you run your local model, such as Ollama or a compatible local server, and make sure the model is loaded.
- Open the playground, choose Models, then Refresh.
- Select Use model. Choose an avatar and send your first message.
Use a dedicated conversation in my existing agent app
Start a new chat in your agent app and enable Agent Avatar there. Use that conversation just for your avatar. The agent, its tools and its history stay in that app; inline faces require MCP Apps support; installed desktop connections open a separate companion window.
Already downloaded models are detected through their running local server. If nothing appears, use Add a local runtime. Agent instructions, tools and history in another app are not imported by selecting its underlying model.
KEEP YOUR COMPANION CLOSE
Small presence. Room to talk.
Choose Mini in the connected avatar card for a compact face and reply. Choose Pet for a quiet character view, then open the reply whenever you need it.
- Connect Agent Avatar inside a compatible chat using the guided setup.
- In the avatar card, switch between Chat, Mini and Pet. Your character and reply stay with you. Write follow-ups in your host’s normal chat composer.
- If your host provides it, use Pop out to request picture-in-picture. Otherwise, the compact view stays inside the chat.
Can I use a separate desktop window?
The optional desktop companion has its own movable window, local chat and voice controls, and a connected-agent mode. Mac and experimental Linux x64 builds are prepared; public downloads are pending. See the desktop setup guide for requirements and current limitations.
ChatGPT has its own Mini and Pets controls. A native pet needs a separate, platform-specific character package; connecting this MCP app does not install one. Our Pet layout stays inside the avatar card unless the host supports pop-out.
Read the official ChatGPT Pets guide. Other platforms have their own requirements; there is no universal pet installer.
WORKS WITH TEXT FROM ANY APP
Copy. Paste. Meet your agent.
Keep using your agent wherever you like. Copy its reply, paste it here, and choose a face and an installed local voice.
- Ask your agent a question in its own app.
- Copy the reply and open the reply player below.
- Paste the text, then select Play reply.
This is manual playback, not a live connection. No account access or chat import. Pasted text stays in this page and the local voice service; it is not sent to a chat model.
