SOMEORBIT / TERMS & CONDITIONS
A shared
understanding.
Terms & Conditions for this website and the Agent Avatar local development preview.
Last updated
1. Scope and preview status
These terms describe use of the someorbit website and its supplied local preview. Features may change, contain errors or be unavailable. Human evaluation of the product remains pending; the preview is not a validated production service.
No account, subscription or paid service is created by using this preview. These terms do not introduce a payment obligation or promise ongoing availability, support or future features.
2. Your setup and content
You are responsible for your device, installation, selected models, credentials and connected services. Use content you are entitled to submit and obtain any necessary permissions before sharing another person's information or likeness.
Use of the preview does not itself transfer ownership of your inputs to someorbit. Rights in model-generated output can depend on the model provider, applicable licences and law; the preview does not guarantee that output is original or free of third-party rights.
3. Responsible use
On surfaces operated by the someorbit project, do not use avatars to deceive people into believing they are interacting with a real person, falsely imply endorsement or authority, or impersonate someone without permission. Keep applicable AI disclosures available.
Do not use those surfaces for biometric identification, face matching, surveillance or unlawful activity. Likeness-based features require documented permission and must not depict minors, deceased people or public figures. Generated human avatars must depict adults.
These are rules for project-operated surfaces. They do not remove permissions already granted under MIT or other applicable licences.
4. AI replies and third-party services
The avatar is a synthetic interface. Responses come from your chosen model or host and can be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate. Verify information before acting on it, especially where a mistake could cause harm. The avatar's expression or voice is not evidence that a reply is correct.
Connected AI providers, speech services and host applications are separate services. Their terms, charges, privacy practices and availability apply to your use of them. Compatibility with one host or version does not guarantee compatibility with every platform.
5. Software and asset licences
Future distributions carrying the someorbit Proprietary Software Licence permit running the authorized product for personal or internal business use and connecting applications through its documented interfaces. Copying, redistribution, modification or reuse of covered code or artwork in another product requires written permission unless applicable law or another licence you already hold permits it. Earlier MIT grants remain effective. Third-party code, human avatars, separately licensed face data and installed models retain their own licences.
someorbit characters
© 2026 someorbit. Pip, Arc, Moss, Lumen and Sable, their defining character source and artwork are covered by the someorbit Character Licence. New project-authored host characters use this licence by default unless stated otherwise.
You may use and display these characters through authorized Agent Avatar distributions and their documented integrations, including for commercial conversations. Redistribution, extraction, modification or reuse requires permission unless another applicable licence or law permits it. Earlier MIT and character-redistribution permissions remain effective for material supplied under those terms.
Read the character licence and third-party notices for the full terms. Future packages include their applicable software and character licences, earlier licence notices and third-party notices. Previously prepared 0.1.6 installers retain their supplied terms. The copyright notice does not claim ownership of third-party human faces or establish copyright in otherwise unprotectable material.
The applicable licence governs permission to copy, modify and distribute each component. These website terms do not replace those licences or remove rights they grant.
6. Availability and warranty
The preview is supplied as is, subject to the warranty and liability provisions in the applicable software and asset licences. There is no promise of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose or error-free output.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
7. Privacy and updates
The Privacy page explains the supplied preview's handling of messages, audio, settings and connected services.
Updated terms will carry a new date on this page. Check the version supplied with the product you use. Website updates do not retroactively change the licences attached to copies of software you already received.
